Personnel from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) are gearing up for an exciting Staff Exchange event scheduled to take place in Calabria on September 12th and 13th, 2023. This collaborative initiative, organised under the EXPER Project, will bring together experts from ULPGC and the University of Calabria (UNICAL) for a knowledge-sharing endeavour.
The primary aim of this Staff Exchange is to facilitate the exchange of valuable insights and expertise between these two esteemed institutions. ULPGC will have the unique opportunity to glean essential knowledge from UNICAL in several key areas, including:
- Creation of Innovative Businesses: Learning from UNICAL’s experience in fostering entrepreneurial initiatives.
- Interdisciplinarity in Universities: Exploring methods to promote interdisciplinary collaboration within academic institutions.
- Improving Internal Communication: Gaining insights into enhancing internal communication practices for a more efficient and connected university community.
- Implementation/Execution of HRS4R: Delving into the strategies and tactics for successfully implementing the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R).
- Intellectual Property: Understanding the nuances of managing and protecting intellectual property within an academic setting.
- Exchange of Best Practices: Sharing and adopting best practices that have proven successful in both ULPGC and UNICAL.
These topics have been carefully selected based on assessments conducted at ULPGC and align with the core pillars of the EXPER Project: talent retention, excellence in research, and knowledge transfer.
As part of this enriching experience, the ULPGC team will also have the privilege of visiting the UNICAL campus, including the captivating Botanical Garden, providing an opportunity for cultural exchange and networking among academic professionals.
This collaborative Staff Exchange promises to be a dynamic and enlightening event, fostering stronger ties between ULPGC and UNICAL, and promoting the continuous growth and development of both institutions.
