EXPER Project to Feature at Open Science Workshop Led by Ent-r-e-novators Project

The forthcoming Open Science and Open Education workshop, organised by the Ent-r-e-novators Project, is set to highlight the impactful contributions of the EXPER Project. Scheduled for June 7th, 2024, at the Polytechnic University of Setubal, Portugal, or virtually accessible worldwide, this event promises an in-depth exploration of open science practices and their role in fostering research and innovation (R&I), particularly in remote regions.

One of the key highlights of the workshop will be the participation of Michelle Perello, CEO at Consulta Europa and a member of the Dissemination, Communication, and Exploitation Work Package of the EXPER Project, as a distinguished speaker. Perello’s expertise and insights are expected to enrich discussions on open science strategies and their impact on R&I, especially in the Outermost Regions of the European Union.

The workshop, organised by the E3UDRES2 Ent-r-e-novators project, our EXPER Sister Project, is designed to facilitate dialogue and knowledge sharing on critical aspects of open science and its integration into educational frameworks. Attendees can expect to delve into topics such as leveraging digital tools for open science, navigating open licenses effectively, and addressing ethical considerations in open science and citizen science initiatives.

The lineup of speakers includes prominent figures such as Luís Coelho from the Polytechnic Institute of Setubal, Karel Luyben from the European Open Science Cloud Association, and Silviu Vert from Politehnica University of Timisoara, among others. These speakers will offer diverse perspectives on open science and open education, providing attendees with a comprehensive understanding of current trends and future directions in these transformative fields.

Participants, including researchers, educators, policymakers, and students, are encouraged to register for this enriching workshop, which promises valuable insights, networking opportunities, and a chance to contribute to shaping the future of open science and education in Europe.
