The University of the Azores (UAc) reached another step within the EXPER Project on December 6, 2023, with the successful completion of their 1st UAc Individual Strategy workshop. This strategic initiative involved gathering valuable insights and contributions from various stakeholders, laying the groundwork for the development of Strategic Objectives (SOs), Actions, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). These elements will undergo validation during the forthcoming 2nd UAc Individual Strategy Workshop.
The identified Strategic Objectives not only guide UAc’s path but also set the stage for robust international collaboration among the Widening Universities participating in the EXPER Project. The collaborative approach will be crystallised through a Joint Strategy, to be refined in a series of workshops scheduled for 2024, involving both UAC and the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC).
The workshop witnessed active participation, with key representatives from various sectors:
- 3 representatives from UAc Rectory Team
- 6 UAc Professors/Investigators
- 1 representative from UAc Academic Association (AAUA)
- 1 representative from UAc Incubator (InUAc)
- 1 representative from São Miguel Science and Technology Park (NONAGON)
- 1 representative from the competent authority – Regional Directorate for Science and Technology (DRCT)
The engagement of these diverse stakeholders ensures a comprehensive and inclusive approach to shaping UAc’s Individual Strategy. The collaborative spirit showcased in this workshop not only reflects UAc’s commitment to excellence but also reinforces the shared vision of the wider EXPER Project.
Stay tuned for further updates as UAc continues its journey towards innovative and impactful strategies within the EXPER Project.
