ULPGC Hosts Colloquium on Innovation and internationalisation with ICEX Director

The Vice-Rectorate for Research and Transfer of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is organising a colloquium on February 21, 2024, focusing on mechanisms of support and financing for innovation and internationalization. The event will feature José María Blasco Ruiz, Director of Infrastructures, Health, and ICT at ICEX (ICEX Spain Export and Investments), who is responsible for supporting the internationalisation of technological and innovative entrepreneurship.

ICEX is a Spanish public business entity with the mission to promote the internationalisation of Spanish companies and foreign investment.

One of the key highlights of the event will be the presentation of the Desafía initiative, created by ICEX in collaboration with Red.es, aimed at facilitating the entry of Spanish emerging companies into the world’s most innovative technological ecosystems.

    • Loreto Taborga Curto, Territorial Director of Commerce and ICEX Delegate in Las Palmas.
    • Sebastián López Suárez, Vice-Rector for Research and Transfer of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and member of the EXPER project.
  • 12:35: Interview with José María Blasco Ruiz
    • Conducted by María José Miranda Martel, Director of Scientific Infrastructures and Relations with Companies at ULPGC and member of the EXPER project.
  • 13:00: Colloquium with participating companies
  • 13:30: Networking Cocktail

This event provides a unique opportunity to learn from experts and discuss the latest trends and challenges in the fields of entrepreneurship, innovation, and internationalisation. The venue will be the Auditorium of the Multipurpose Building at the Science and Technology Park, University Campus of Tafira in Gran Canaria, Spain.
