Join Us for a Workshop on Gender Diversity and Equality – October 29, 2024!

The Vice-Rectorate for Research and Knowledge Transfer, in collaboration with the Vice-Rectorate for Social Outreach and Communication along with Consulta Europa of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULGPC), invites you to participate in the upcoming Workshop on Gender Diversity and Equality, to be held on October 29, 2024, at the Aula de Piedra of the ULPGC Rectorate, starting at 09:45 AM.

This event is part of the activities organised under the European projects ATHENA and EXPER, funded by the European Union through the Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe (2021-2027) programs. The workshop will feature prominent speakers, including representatives from the Social Policy, Accessibility, Equality, and Diversity Council of Gran Canaria and the President of the Business Network for LGTBI Diversity and Inclusion. These experts will discuss strategies, progress, and challenges in gender equality and diversity, both within our university and in society at large.

Why attend?

  • Learn from the experts: Hear from renowned speakers, including representatives from the Cabildo de Gran Canaria and the Red Empresarial por la Diversidad e Inclusión LGTBI.
  • Network with like-minded individuals: Connect with professionals working to advance gender equality in academia and beyond.
  • Contribute to a more inclusive future: Be part of the conversation and help shape a more equitable society.

Important Note: The workshop will be conducted entirely in Spanish.

Gender equality and the promotion of diversity are crucial, cross-cutting issues that require our full attention and decisive action. We strongly encourage you to attend and actively engage in this dialogue, which will not only enhance our understanding but also help create a more inclusive and respectful environment for everyone.
