Technical Conference for Knowledge Transfer Offices (OTCs) and European Project Offices (OPEs) in the Canary Islands

The Science and Technology Park Foundation will host the 4th Technical Conference for Knowledge Transfer Offices (OTCs) and European Project Offices (OPEs) in the Canary Islands on Friday, November 8, starting at 9:30 a.m. at the Aula de Piedra at the institutional headquarters (c/ Juan de Quesada, 30). The event will be held in Spanish.

Organised under the EXPER project (Excellent Peripheries for a Strong European Research Area) and funded by the European Union, this event is aimed at technical and managerial staff from OTCs and OPEs across the Canary Islands, as well as institutions and organisations engaged in research, development, and innovation (R&D&I). The conference seeks to establish a collaborative space where key knowledge transfer stakeholders can define a roadmap to advance research excellence and foster synergies with the local productive sector.

The opening keynote will be delivered by Elisa Rivera Mendoza, Director General of Planning, Coordination, and Knowledge Transfer at the Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities. Her talk, titled “Spain’s Knowledge Transfer Policy: Priorities and Roadmap,” will set the stage for the event. Following her, María José Mariño Fontenla, Director of Talent and Transfer at the Axencia Galega de Innovación, will present Oportunius and IGNICIA, two pioneering programs reshaping knowledge transfer in Galicia, which can offer valuable insights for the Canary Islands. The program also features a roundtable discussion titled “The Future of Research and Knowledge Transfer in the Canary Islands: Key Insights and Strategies.”
