University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Showcases Sustainability Solutions at EXPER Project Webinar

The University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) is gearing up to share its expertise in tackling climate change and restoring our oceans at a webinar on Thursday, January 9th, 2025. This event is part of the EXPER project’s online seminar series, focusing on “Bridging Excellence among Peripheral Regions” under the Societal Challenges Working Groups (SCWGs).

Leading the Charge:

  • Dr. Rodrigo Riera Elena, a prominent researcher in Marine Ecology and Conservation, will discuss the feasibility of reversing climate change.
  • Dr. Leví García Romero, an expert in coastal management, will explore the impact of governance gaps on coastal resources.
  • Other ULPGC researchers will delve into topics like ocean alkalinity enhancement, fostering citizen science for sustainability, and unlocking the potential of marine ecosystem services.
